It can sometimes spread to the jaw and upper body and feel worse if you exert yourself. Angina pain at rest may be more serious and be a sign of higher risk for a heart attack. Angina occurs when there is poor blood flow to the heart muscle. This is usually caused by blockages known as plaques, made up of cholesterol and fat building up in the arteries that supply the heart muscle. Smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol can all contribute to plaque formation.

Angina doesn’t go away, but it can be managed withmedication and surgery。For your heart health it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle including a proper diet and of course exercise.
